Juice Fasting

juice fasting
The oldest method of internal cleansing or detox is fasting. Some nutritionists recommend fresh juice fasting as opposed to a water fast. With this type of fast the person is receiving important nutrients but is giving the digestive system a much needed rest. Juice fasting is more comfortable than a water fast and is easier to incorporate into one’s schedule.

Juice Fasting Benefits

Research shows that the vitamins, minerals, and trace elements that raw juices provide are easily assimilated directly into the bloodstream without putting a strain on the digestive system.  They don’t change or disrupt the healing process or autolysis (self digestion of diseased, damaged cells and tissues).

Juice fasting also brings a steady flow of live enzymes into the body at the same time the toxins are being released.  Enzymes are the basis for all cell regeneration.  Enzyme deficiency compromises our immune system and forces our bodies to borrow from metabolic and digestive enzyme stores to neutralize toxins.

Always check with your doctor before engaging in juice fasting.

Juice Fasting Guidelines

The juice consumed should be raw and fresh.  A bottled juice from a supermarket won’t provide the nourishment and sweeping action your system needs.  Making your own juice from organic fruits and vegetables is the best way to ensure good results.
